On Saturday, July 26, 2025, I participated in the "All-Participating Citizens' Dance" at the Muroran Port Festival held in Chuo-cho, Muroran City.

Beyond education and research, our university actively participates in local events, aiming to meet the needs of the community, contribute to its development, and earn its support. We have been participating in this event since 2007, and excluding years when it was canceled due to rain, this marks our 11th participation.

On that day, 44 people, including Muropyon, the university's official mascot, along with faculty, staff, and students, danced and paraded to the tunes of "Hokkai Bon Uta" and "Muroran Bayashi."
