The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Overseas Study Support Program (Agreement-Based Acceptance) scholarship program implemented a training program for National Pingtung University in Taiwan.

From June 9th to 24th, our university conducted the training programs "Unity Bridge" and "Taiwanese Students' Perspectives on Urespa" for National Pingtung University in Taiwan, which was selected for the Japan Student Services Organization's Overseas Study Support Program (Agreement-Based Acceptance) for the 2025 academic year.

Thirteen students from the Department of Information Science, Department of Applied Japanese, and Department of English at Pingtung University, and 23 students from our university, mainly those who had previously participated in training programs at Pingtung University, participated, for a total of 36 students. They worked on collaborative project work on problem-solving using ICT and Ainu culture. This was a valuable opportunity for Japanese and Taiwanese students to broaden their international perspectives through collaboration, and with some students expressing a desire to study abroad at both universities for extended periods, it is expected that academic and personnel exchanges between the two universities will develop in the future.
