The "Project to Support the Development of Interdisciplinary Doctoral Researchers to Drive Next-Generation Innovation," which was submitted by our university, has been selected for the Japan Science and Technology Agency's (JST) Challenging Research Program for Next-Generation Researchers.

[Our University's Projects]
Muroran Institute of Technology launched the "Cross-disciplinary Fusion PhD Talent Development Support Project Driving Next-Generation Innovation" under Advisor to the President Dong Mianxiong as the project director this fiscal year. Outstanding students from Doctoral Course will be selected and provided with living expenses and research funds during their studies, We provide financial support to support outstanding students' research and personal development, as well as support for the formation of diverse career paths. Through this, we aim to foster interdisciplinary human resource development that integrates top-level computer science with various scientific and technological fields such as architecture, civil engineering, mechanical aviation, electrical and electronics, physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as to acquire practical skills through long-term "warrior training" internships in collaboration with industry. We nurture interdisciplinary talent necessary for next-generation Innovation PhDs who can thrive across diverse career paths.
